Ajay Chowdhury is a global, experienced CEO with over twenty five years experience in mobile, e-commerce, digital media, digital retail and Government and strong functional expertise in sales, strategy development, product development and fundraising. He has significant board experience as Chairman and Non-Executive Director having served on the boards of Shazam, Seatwave, ComQi, Lionhead, Department of Culture Media and Sport, Arts Council London, Virtual Internet (LSE) and FairFX (LSE-AIM) amongst others. He has raised funding successfully for several companies and participated in selling various companies including Seatwave (to Ticketmaster), Lionhead (to Microsoft), Shazam (part sold to BMI) and Virtual Internet plc (to Register.com). Ajay is currently the Partner and Managing Director at BCG Digital Ventures which is an innovation, product development, venture and commercialization firm, set up by the Boston Consulting Group. A Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) graduate from Bombay University, Ajay completed his MBA in Finance from University of Pennsylvania – The Wharton School before joining management consultants Bain & Co.
