Founder & CEO - Kitchenette

Cynthia Shanmugalingham is the Founder & CEO of Kitchenette, London’s first kitchen incubator for food entrepreneurs, based on similar models in the US. She previously served as the Non-Executive Director of Year Here, and Enabling Enterprise and as a Trustee for Working Rite, following work for the Young Foundation where she managed a social venture fund for startup education and youth focused social enterprises and The Global Innovation Academy, building capacities and skills to better design and implement social innovations around the world. An economics graduate from the University of Cambridge, she joined HM Treasury as a Fast Stream Economist, giving policy advice to the Chancellor and other Treasury Ministers, developing strategy on the economics of immigration, pharmaceuticals, regional government and on local government spending and tax. She left to join RSe Consulting, boutique public sector consulting firm for local government. This was followed by nearly four years at The Young Foundation and various non-profit organisations before she set up Kitchenette.
