Co-Founder & CEO - Spherical Defence (Cyber Security)

Dishant Shah is the Co-Founder & CEO of  Pune-based cybersecurity startup Spherical Defence which has been chosen for the GCHQ accelerator programme. Spherical Defence is the brainchild of two 23-year-olds, Dishant Shah and Jack Hopkins, who met in September 2016 at an entrepreneurship summit in London while pursuing their masters' programmes from University College London and Cambridge, respectively. Spherical Defence uses 'deep learning',  a type of artificial intelligence modelled after brain's neural networks,  to create patterns of normal communication. Hack attempts show up as deviations from these patterns.

Dishant holds a BTech in Computer Engineering from the National Institute of Technology (Regional Engineering College) - Tiruchirapalli, India, and a Masters in CyberSecurity from UCL. He was a Partner at Vyoma Graphics in Pune, India, before coming to the UK to study in 2015. He has since helped HSBC, ICICI Bank and PayTM with their security by founding Spherical Defence.
