Rikesh Desai is currently the Digital Entertainment & Games Director at BBC Worldwide – the games division’s role is primarily about licensing its IP to the right partner, whether that’s Top Gear, Doctor Who, its various kids brands or other properties, such as BBC Earth. Doctor Who Legacy, the free-to-play mobile puzzle game, has attracted some 1.4m gamers. And its various Top Gear titles – including Top Gear Race – The Stig, and Top Gear Stunt School – have been well received. He was previously responsible for leading BBC Worldwide’s Consumer Products digital and multi-format innovation agenda focused on commercially leveraging emerging digital technologies, combining them with BBC content, brands and products.
