Deadline extended for the Top 100 Asian Stars in UK Tech 2020 list

The deadline for the Top 100 Asian Stars in UK Tech 2020 list has been extended until 31st May 2020 with organisers planning to publish the list later in the year. Now in its sixth year, the list is published by equality and inclusion charity Diversity UK, in association with New Asian Post Ltd, and celebrates the contribution made by British Asians to this country’s digital economy.

The coronavirus pandemic has changed the way we live and work and the UK tech sector in particular has been impacted significantly with many pivoting their business models to help in the fight against Covid19; others struggling to survive and many volunteering in the community.  The Trustees of Diversity UK have decided to continue with the publication of the list to provide support to Britain’s tech sector, particularly its under-represented founders, and to sustain and encourage innovation on the significant global challenges we face, by  allowing extra time for nominations. The deadline for nominations has been extended until 31st May 2020 and the list will be published later in the year.”

The aim is to showcase the wealth of talent on the British digital scene; from startup founders, creatives, social entrepreneurs, technologists, venture capital and angel investors to the policy makers and game changers. The key objective is to address the perceived lack of diversity in the tech sector by highlighting the business models, funding and support networks being created by these Asian digital entrepreneurs.

Impact of the Top 100 Asian Stars in UK Tech list
