Allan Ponniah is a renowned plastic and reconstructive surgeon with a keen interest in facial reconstruction and artificial intelligence and its applications. He has a vivid entrepreneurial spirit and as CEO aspires to make Facesoft the leading company in the field to unlock the potential of facial analysis. Founded in 2017, FaceSoft is developing machine learning models and databases that improve 3D facial recognition and computer-generated facial reconstruction technologies. The Imperial College, London, spinout company has a reconstruction algorithm that has been trained on a database of 2.5 million high-resolution 3D facial scans to make suitable for many applications, from mobile phones to CCTV cameras. Facesoft received seed funding from Luminous Ventures and AI Seed.

Allan is an experienced Plastic Surgeon, currently working at the Royal Free Hospital in London, with a demonstrated history of working in the biotechnology industry. He has consulting experience in clinical research, medical education, wound care, strategic planning and medicine.
