Alpesh Patel is the Founding Partner at Praefinium Partners, a top tier Private Equity fund investing in cleantech and medtech globally with an India bias. The firm was founded in 2004 and is a catalyst for innovation with investments in spinal implants and knee replacement technology. Alpesh is a barrister who holds a Bachelor’s degree in PPE from the University of Oxford, and a degree in law from King’s College, London. He is a FinTech Entrepreneur publishing Sharescope Investment Software; a Co-Founder of InvestingBetter.com – a platform which provides know-how expertise, investor education and information to the private investor – and is the author and co-author of of 18 investment and business books.

He rose to fame in 1999, writing the ‘Diary of an Internet Trader’ publishing over 200 columns for the Financial Times newspaper. A former Visiting Fellow in Business & Industry at Oxford University and Council Member of Chatham House, he is also currently a Board Member of 10 Downing Street Entrepreneurship Advisory Group; Senior Dealmaker for the UKTI Global Entrepreneur Programme; Founding Director of the UK India Business Council and Deputy Chairman of the Commonwealth Gates Council.
