Ameerul Miah is Partner and Chief Operating Officer at MMC ventures, one of the most active venture capital investors in the UK. He joined the company in 2014 and is responsible for finance and operations and supervises MMC’s fund structures. Founded in 2000, MMC Ventures is an active investor and award-winning venture fund manager, focused on financial and business services, business software, digital media and e-commerce. With over £180 million under management, over £11m of which has been invested by the MMC team, it is ranked among the top most active early-stage UK investors every year with initial investments of between £1 million and £3 million. MMC's funds include an open EIS Fund, a £30 million Enterprise Capital Fund and the MMC London Fund, a £14m co-investment fund managed in partnership with the Mayor of London.

Before joining MMC, Ameerul worked as the overseas entity controller for the Ashmore Group and James Caird Asset Management where he was responsible for finance, tax and regulatory reporting for both onshore and offshore entities. Ameerul qualified as an accountant with Ernst and Young and graduated from University College London with a BSc in Economics.
