Amy Chao is Marketing & Community Engagement Manager at The Accelerator Network empowering startup & scaleup growth and funding journeys from pre-seed to Series A. She previously honed her commercial acumen directing $2.7m sales STA Travel retail business, and spearheading best-selling Kathy Van Zeeland fashion products for 1,300+ locations worldwide with Europe market growth 2m+ volume in 2 years. The lifestyle brand Kathy Van Zeeland was acquired in a nine figure deal by Li & Fung in 2011. Her experience includes design, product, strategy and innovation in tech, retail, fashion, travel and social impact from U.K., U.S. and Asia at startups, global brands and as a consultant.
Amy also led creative and communication strategy at an award winning tech for good startup and Safe & The City street-smarts app building smarter, safer cities via crowdsourced data. She fostered inclusion and upskilling under-represented groups to increase immersive tech diversity at VR Diversity Initiative and champions startups disrupting retail with innovative business models at TLA Retail Tech, part of Tech London Advocates. She also cultivates partnerships at CreativeMornings LDN, part of the global creative community in over 200+ cities encouraging creativity and change makers through monthly themed event series. Amy holds a Bachelor's degree in Intercultural Communication from Penn State University, USA.
