As General Manager Developer and App Platforms for Microsoft, Anand Krishnan leads a UK-based team on sales of platform products (Azure, Developer Tools & MSDN), app acquisition for Microsoft’s mobile and tablet platforms as well as the Microsoft Ventures Accelerator and BizSpark programs for startups. Anand joined the Microsoft UK subsidiary in June 2012. Prior to this appointment, he spent two years as the Global Lead & Director for Microsoft’s Cloud Business, based in Paris responsible for launching & driving Office365 & Azure share and revenues across 100+ subsidiaries worldwide.

Anand has spent most of his career in early-stage businesses. He previously served as Western Europe Area lead for Microsoft’s web-platform business. Prior to that, he was at Microsoft’s HQ in Redmond and launched Microsoft’s first product in the Technical Computing space. He came to Microsoft after 8 years in the startup world, having held positions in sales, business-development, alliances and product-management. Anand holds an MBA from Stanford University and a Masters in Computer Science from the University of Texas at Austin.
