Dr Asif Qasim is an interventional cardiologist based in London, and the Founder of MedShr Launched in October 2015 from the Founders Factory Accelerator, MedShr enables medical professionals to use their own smartphone to share and discuss clinical cases. The network is growing rapidly with over 500,000 members in 180 countries. MedShr won the Facebook Start Social Good App of the Year 2016 and the World Summit Award for Digital Health 2017. Asif studied medicine at Cambridge University and returned there for a PhD in stem cell biology. He has held NHS Clinical Director roles and remains in clinical practice as a cardiologist. MedShr continues to develop and has had a positive impact on the care of millions of patients around the world.
