Brianna Bao is Diversity Lead at Founders & Funders and is currently in stealth mode of an AI startup having previously been an Investor & Head of Marketing at Simsan Ventures, an early-stage diversity venture capital fund that backs underrepresented founders and diverse teams developing frontier technologies and solving vital issues. She joined Simsan Ventures from its inception, bringing with her an MBA degree and experience with VC fund structuring and platform building from her time at a VC fund based in Lisbon, another tech hub in Southern Europe. Outside of the firm, Brianna is a mentor at Zinc VC‘s impact accelerator and Google for Startup Black Founders’ Fund. As an active member of Climate Mosaic and Women of Wearables, she advises underrepresented entrepreneurs and supports Climate Tech and Femtech communities. Brianna has a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics & Physics, Randolph-Macon Woman’s College (Now Randolph); an MA in Mathematics & Education from New York University and an MBA from Cass Business School (now Bayes). She also co-hosts University of Oxford’s Founders & Funders Webinar Series on “Investing in Underrepresented Founders”.
