Charaka Goonatilake is the Chief Technology Officer at Panaseer, the first Continuous Controls Monitoring platform for enterprise cybersecurity. The Panaseer platform provides Chief Information Security Officers, and their teams, visibility into the true state of security within their business in order to improve cyber hygiene and reduce cyber risk exposure. The company has raised a total of $15.5 million in funding over 6 rounds;  the latest funding of $10 million was raised on Jun 18, 2018 from a Series A round, led by Evolution Equity Partners. Charaka has been immersed in Hadoop- and cloud-based big data technologies for the past decade, across roles at BAE Systems Applied Intelligence and Panaseer. He has built and led engineering teams who have developed innovative technologies for deriving data-driven cyber security insights for a range of enterprise stakeholders. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from University College London.
