Chiin-Rui Tan
Chiin-Rui Tan is the Founder & CEO of Rho Zeta AI, a London and Singapore-based edtech startup designing and engineering innovative software-based solutions that deliver and democratise AI literacy outcomes. She is an industry-recognised data science leader, innovator, tech maker & strategist with a 12 year record of achieving multi-million £GBP compound impact. In her career she has already delivered influential data-driven capabilities for major UK & international organisations primarily in Digital, Open Source, and for the British Government as the Foreign Office's first Head of Data Science.
Winner of UK Entrepreneur 2018 at the #DataLeadersAwards, Chiin's primary community is the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Club for gender minorities, a future tech-centric knowledge exchange & accelerator for underrepresented gender identities that she founded in July '17 as the first meetup in Europe of its kind. Chiin previously founded Europe's first R programming community for self-identified women, R-Ladies London, and was jointly awarded a $10,000 grant from the Linux Foundation in August 2016 to roll-out the initiative internationally. Chiin holds a BA in Economics from the University of Cambridge and an MSc in International Management from SOAS, University of London.
