Dev Amratia is the Co-Founder & CEO of nPlan, an AI startup that uses machine learning to analyse schedules for construction projects, highlighting risk and suggesting optimal execution paths. In March 2021, nPlan secured an $18.5 million investment round, led by GV (formerly Google Ventures). Dev is an Aerospace Engineer by education with 9 years of technical and commercial experience across a variety of strategic projects in the Energy industry. He is the co-author of the UK Government AI Review (2017) alongside Prof. Dame Wendy Hall and Jerome Pesenti. Dev is a Chartered Engineer (CEng), recognised by the Royal Institute of Mechanical Engineers, who spent nearly eight years of his early career at Shell before being seconded to the Department of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) in 2016. In 2017, he was Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Entrepreneur First and he is also the founder of The Great Energy Challenges, a UK registered charity with the mission to promote environmentally sustainable living.
