Durdana Achakzai is a senior technology and innovation executive with over 17 years of leadership experience in global businesses bringing expertise in driving large-scale digital transformations and change executions. In her last role as Group Executive Managing Director of Digital for Vodafone based in London, she led Vodafone’s Digital First and Digital Only transformation across markets. She was one of a handful of women in the senior leadership team globally. Previously, she was Chief Digital Officer for Telenor, where she led their transformation into a digital services provider having built and scaled new business adjacencies like agri-tech, IoT ad-tech, fintech as well as infotainment. She was the first female SVP in Telenor’s Asian cluster.

Durdana has founded Pivotal Ventures Consulting to help large businesses and startups strategize and implement digital first initiatives and ventures. She is an advisor to early-stage start-ups and a mentor to young talent. Durdana has been serving on the board of Karandaaz which is a UK FCDO ( BII) and Gates Foundation funded entity working on financial inclusion agenda in Pakistan. She holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, where she was the first MBA Fulbright scholar from Pakistan, and an undergraduate degree in Engineering Sciences from GIK Institute in Pakistan.
