Gaurav Chawla is a Deep Tech (AI) and Fintech Entrepreneur, the Co-Founder & CEO of Lumirithmic, an Imperial College London spin-out focusing on 3D appearance capture technology at scale for industries including entertainment, beauty-tech, video games, Metaverse, and more. Lumirithmic specialises in highest quality facial scans with realistic skin appearance, through portable desktop devices. Its proprietary technology combines novel computational imaging with AI to provide cost-effective and accessible solutions, enabling any company around the world to deploy high-quality 3D appearance capture at scale for the mass market. Gaurav has a deep technical background in engineering, fintech, data science, and computer science, and has held leading technical/product roles at GE, RBS, Morgan Stanley, and IHS Markit (now S&P), complemented with experience in product marketing and sales, patent protection, product launch and deeptech. He has co-authored several publications and is also co-inventor of multiple patents. He is a graduate of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT, Delhi), and holds MS (Engineering), MS (Mathematical Finance) and MBA (Finance, Accounting) from Georgia Tech, as well as an LLB (equivalent of Juris Doctor) in Intellectual Property Law from University of London. He is also a CFA and FRM charter holder.
