Hemant Mardia is Chair of Nu Quantum, a Quantum Photonics pioneer spin-out of Cambridge University, and Chair of Blu Wireless, a leader in ultra high speed 5G communications. Hemant has a track record commercialising deep tech semiconductor solutions formerly as CEO of Filtronic Plc listed on the FTSE, and CEO of IDEX ASA listed on the Oslo Bors, delivering transformational products to blue chip customers in the biometrics, wireless communications and security markets. Hemant is passionate about mentoring engineering talent and scaling new businesses within the UK deep tech industry. He holds a BSc degree in Electronics and a PhD in Electronics Digital Processing, both from the University of Leeds, and is a Fellow of Institute of Engineering and Technology.
