Hongbin Zhuang is CEO & Co-Founder of Emotech, an award-winning artificial intelligence startup based in London. Its mission is to redefine the relationship between humans and technology. Using innovative brain-inspired AI, Emotech is revolutionising the way people interact with technology, introducing a new era of emotional intelligence. Emotech raised $10 million in funding from Lighting Capital in 2016. Its flagship product Olly is the world’s first robot with personality. In 2017 it became the first startup product to win CES innovation awards in 4 categories. As a product designer, Hongbin devoted 9 years into the field of social networking service (SNS). He was the product director of renren.com and assisted it to become one of the largest SNS in China with over 35 million monthly login users, which facilitated its NYSE IPO in 2011. He led a team of 50 and built the system for assessing and training over 200 product managers and UX researchers in Renren. He was Elected Chairman of the Renren Product Committee before arriving in London on a Tier 1 Graduate Entrepreneur Visa endorsed by UCL Advances. Hongbin holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration & Management from the Beijing University of Post and Telecommunications and a Master's degree in Human Computer Interaction & Ergonomics from UCL. He strongly believes that the revolution of human-computer interaction will be very fundamental for the next big technology trend.
