Co-Founder & Chief Creative Officer - Carbon Imagineering

Imran Ali is Co-Founder & Chief Creative Officer Carbon:imagineering a boutique digital R&D practice, exploring and scouting the impact of emerging technologies. Clients have included The University of Leeds, Storythings, Freedom Studios, Leeds Beckett University, Microsoft, Yahoo and Giga Omni Media. Latterly, the company has specialised in storytelling platforms for live theatre, immersive technologies and web communities. Imran was also Co-founder and Chief Creative Officer of Impact Hub Bradford, a hub for social innovation, offering development programmes, community events and workspace to the city's innovators. Previously, Imran cofounded Leeds' first coworking community at Old Broadcasting House and worked extensively with the city on shaping its digital industries strategy by founding LSx. lmran also established Orange's Technology Research team and has served as a board director and cofounder of ensembli, as well as a trustee of bmedi@, the Impressions Gallery, conference director of the FutureEverything festival and as a trustee for IOU Theatre and The Media Centre. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and holds a BSc (Hons) degree in Software Engineering from Leeds Beckett University.
