Jason Choy is the Co-Founder & Chief Executive of Welcome Gate, providing security solutions to the defence, technology, property and financial sectors and advising on the application of technology in counter-terrorism, creating safer communities. He began his career in property management in Sydney, looking after iconic buildings such as the Sydney Opera House and service delivery for Sydney 2000 Olympic & Paralympic Games. After moving to the UK, he continued working in facilities management and played a key role in delivering facilities services for the Manchester 2002 Commonwealth Games.

As a start-up,he became involved in the Institute of Directors’, co-founding its’ Young Directors Forum in 2007. In 2011, he was elected Chairman in Central London, representing over 5,000 Directors. He holds a Bachelor's business degree in Marketing, Management & Entrepreneurship from the University of Newcastle, Australia, and currently serves on the Advisory Board of the London South Bank University Business School and mentor at the London Business School. In 2013, he was honoured with an Honorary Doctor of Letters from the University of West London in recognition of his achievements in business and the encouragement of entrepreneurship.
