Jia-Yi Har is a seasoned investment professional and operator with a strong track record in the life ‎science and tech sectors. As a Partner at Cathay Health, a techbio fund investing in companies ‎developing technologies to solve large healthcare problems, Jia-Yi brings her multidisciplinary ‎experience in scientific research, investment and venture building to foster growth in her portfolio ‎companies. She has invested across deep tech sectors, including surgical robotics, material tech ‎and advanced therapeutics manufacturing, and currently serves on the board of Ascend Gene and ‎Cell Therapies.‎ Before joining Cathay Health, Jia-Yi spent several years with Partners Group, a PE fund with $120 ‎billion assets under management, where she focused on healthcare PE transactions in care ‎providers, IT, medtech and pharma services across the Atlantic. As the leader of the Asia Pacific Imaging Software business at Philips, Jia-Yi brought cutting-edge ‎software technologies to hundreds of hospitals throughout the region. As a cofounder, she ‎successfully built and exited several health tech startups, where she developed and ‎commercialised technologies to solve challenges in chronic health management and precision ‎wellness.‎ Jia-Yi's passion for life sciences and technology began during her graduate studies at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where she conducted interdisciplinary research in microbial genetics and systems biology. Her work has been published in peer-reviewed scientific journals.‎
