Joanna is a Non-Executive Director of Octopus Future Generations VCT plc which is focused on backing innovative companies with a sustainability focus. She sits on the advisory Board for Digital Boost which seeks to help SMEs & charities get the essential digital skills they need to grow their revenues, and also sits on the investment taskforce of the EY Foundation, which supports young people into education, enterprise and employment. She is a founding member of the 30% club steering committee and creator of the 30% club cross company mentoring scheme, which now operates internationally. She won the Women In the City Achievement award in 2013 for her contribution to diversity & inclusion in the field of Accountancy.

Joanna has over 35 years corporate finance and capital markets experience through her role as a Transaction Tax Partner and was a Partner at EY until December 2021. As the lead Partner for the EY Entrepreneur of the Year programme she worked with founders across a range of sectors, helping them manage the challenges and opportunities that come from rapidly scaling.
