Joyce Xie is Managing Director, Global Capital at IP Group which has been backing and growing science and technology-based businesses for over 20 years. Joyce joined IP Group in 2016 and led many cross-border investment transactions within IP Group. Joyce is one of the founders of IP Group Greater China, helping IP Group and portfolio companies build capital, market and industry partnerships in the Greater China region. Prior to IP Group, Joyce worked in Mergers & Acquisitions advisory at HSBC’s investment banking division in London, covering the Telecoms, Media, and Technology sector. Previously, she worked as an investment manager, managing discretionary portfolios for Ultra High Net Worth clients at HSBC. She also has work experience at UBS, Societe Generale, and Boston Consulting Group. Joyce is a CFA charterholder and holds a Master’s degree in Finance from ESCP Europe and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Wuhan University. She is also an alumni of Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business and Harvard Medical School for continuing professional education.
