After encountering his co-founder in India, Jun Seki jumped at the opportunity to become a tech co-founder of Poq, a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform that empowers retailers to create highly effective and fully customized native apps in record time. The SaaS platform enables over 30 retailers, including; Missguided, PrettyLittleThing, FeelUnique, Oasis, Warehouse and Belk, to deliver best-in-class mobile apps across Android and iOS. Backed by renowned venture capitalists Smedvig, Beringea and more. Poq has also been through the accelerator Seedcamp. Poq has raised a total of $21.5M in funding over 8 rounds, with the latest Series B funding raised in 2018. Poq has won numerous awards including; being named Mobile Technology Vendor of the Year 2017 (Retail System Awards), receiving Best App with Missguided at Drapers Digital Awards 2017 and being recognised as the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 2018 and 2017 UK winner.
Jun has helped to grow the company from 3 to 100+ employees over 6 years. Helping to build a scalable platform that can accommodate millions of users, create a profitable revenue stream for retailers and empowering retailers to provide their best and engaging shopping experiences. He has a long career in entrepreneurship, at the age of 16, he was the founder of one of the biggest high school online social networks in Shanghai. While as a student in Australia, Jun established his web consulting business. He also worked in corporate roles as an investment bank and for the Australian government. He speaks 3 languages and holds a degree from the Australian National University.
