Kevin Chong is Co-Head at Outward VC which invests at late-seed to series B in entrepreneurs seeking to build category-defining fintech companies. Outward VC is backed by Investec Bank plc and NIBC Bank N.V., as well as a number of other international investors. Kevin is also a non-executive director of the Greater London Investment Fund, a fund of funds backed by the Mayor of London and the European Regional Development Fund, and a non-executive director of Moneyline, a not-for-profit community development financial institution. Previously Kevin was Co-Head for Emerging Companies at Investec, advising and supporting the UK venture capital ecosystem and before that he was Managing Partner at Beacon Capital, a London-based venture capital firm.

Kevin, who is of Australian/British Chinese heritage, is a Lawyer and Chartered Accountant by training. With a background in consulting (5 years PwC) and corporate financing (15 years structuring debt and equity across multiple industries and jurisdictions - Sydney, Hong Kong, London, Southern Africa), his particular focus is on the UK's FinTech sector.
