Mansoor Hamayun
Mansoor Hamayun is the Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of BBOXX, which designs, manufactures and distributes plug and play solar systems. BBOXX has raised a total of $169M in funding over 14 rounds and is funded by 14 investors. Lion’s Head Global Partners and MacKinnon, Bennett & Company are the most recent investors. Born in 1988 in Pakistan, he was raised in Sweden and is a graduate from Imperial College London where he obtained an M.Eng degree in Electronic and Electrical Engineering. While studying at Imperial College London, Mansoor met BBOXX's two other co-founders – Christopher Baker-Brian and Laurent Van Houcke. Through their experiences travelling, they saw first-hand the challenges that communities and businesses face without access to energy supplies. In response, Mansoor, along with his two classmates, founded a successful student charity, called e.quinox. Mansoor led this student charity from 2008-2010, which initially brought electricity to six villages in Rwanda and continues to operate today. Mansoor has professional leadership experience in the Engineering/Customer Service Sector with Rolls-Royce plc in the UK and Hong Kong.
