Mei Chen
Mei Chen is the Vice President and GM International at Alibaba Group and Board Member and Chair of the Investment Committee at Innovo Group. Mei joined Alibaba Group in 2015 as a key member of the Globalization team, leading the company's expansion into international markets. She was the co-founder of Alibaba's luxury ecommerce platform, leading investments and partnerships with top luxury and fashion houses and conglomerates.
With vast knowledge of digital, technology, and retail industries from her previous work at Google and General Electric, Mei supports brands in leveraging Alibaba's technologies, innovations and beyond. Outside work, Mei is on the board of directors of several companies; she advises and supports SMEs and she is a regular guest lecturer at Universities (LBS, INSEAD, Harvard, etc.).
Mei holds a bachelor's degree in Business Management and Finance from Carlos III University of Madrid (Spain) and is an alumnus of Harvard Business School (US) and HEC Paris (France).
She was recently named in 'Inspiring Fifty Winner 2021' - an elite ranking for the most prominent trailblazing women in tech; 'Drapers' Power 100 2022', and the winner of '100 Women Executives (HERoes)' in 2023
