Mikesh Udani

Co-Founder & CEO - Albus Health

Mikesh Udani is the Co-Founder & CEO of Albus Health, a medtech spinout from Oxford University that makes intelligent remote symptom monitors. Born out of the need for reliable symptom monitoring at home and preventing respiratory emergencies that could be fatal, Albus' technology is now used in several projects, including one by a top global pharmaceutical company. They are now partnering with Imperial College, Royal Brompton Hospital, Birmingham Children's Hospital and AsthmaUK British Lung Foundation (UK's top respiratory charity) to build systems that predict and prevent Asthma attacks in children. Albus has raised £2.9mn in funding, including 3 innovation awards by the UK government's innovation agency, as well as the AI in Health and Care Award by the UK's Health Secretary. Mikesh is a graduate in Mathematics (IIT Kharagpur, India) and Computer Science (Oxford, UK) and was a fellow at the Oxford Biodesign Program at Oxford, which focuses on the use of technology to address needs in healthcare. Before coming to Oxford, Mikesh spent over 3 years in the Derivatives Trading Team at Deutsche Bank, performing risk management and developing a risk framework for a multi-billion asset portfolio.
