A former refugee from Afghanistan herself, Mursal was inspired to create pathways into professional careers for refugees after observing first-hand the vast untapped talent and potential residing in the refugee community. The Chatterbox platform uniquely matches language learners with native-speaking tutors who share their professional backgrounds and interests from the refugee community to achieve industry-leading course completion rates. In 2018, Chatterbox won the 'Next Billion' Edtech Prize in recognition of being the most innovative technology destined to have a radical impact on education in low income and emerging world countries.
