Naveed Parvez
Naveed R. Parvez is CEO of Andiamo, a health tech startup reimagining how healthcare services are delivered. Their first focus is the orthotics industry that creates custom medical devices called orthoses for conditions such as cerebral palsy, diabetes, and stroke. Their proprietary technology combines big data, machine learning, and 3D printing to reduce waiting times from 6 months to just a week. Andiamo primarily works with disabled children and was founded after husband and wife Naveed and Samiya had their son Diamo in 2003. He had a difficult birth due to medical negligence leading to Cerebral Palsy and sadly passed away in March 2012. Diamo needed extensive treatment to help him with the most basic functions and this included having a multitude of orthotic braces and gators.
Andiamo is an organisation pioneering new approaches to how orthoses are delivered which is crucial for young patients who have often outgrown the brace by the time it has been made. With a mission to solve these challenges globally, Andiamo is launching the first version of their technology platform for clinics in 2018. Previously Naveed worked for the NHS delivering the then world first Choose and Book service. He has also worked in several senior roles such as Head of Operations at Slivers of Time and Project & Programme Manager at Headshift.
