Nitin Passi is Founder & CEO of Missguided.com, a fast fashion women’s etailer setup in 2009. It is now one of the fastest growing online retailers in the world and has quickly become an international fashion source offering the latest in trend-led clothing, shoes, and accessories to women across the globe with over 500 employees. After graduating from Newcastle University in 2005 with a degree in Business Management, Nitin joined his father’s firm importing, designing and selling clothing to all the high street chains and department stores in the U.S. He was based in New York, and lived there for two years, getting a solid grounding in the fashion business in everything from design to production. At the height of the 2008 recession, he saw that the only growth area was online and so he borrowed £50,000 from his father and launched Missguided.com in March 2009. It has won numerous awards, including being named Drapers International Fashion Retailer of the Year 2016. In recent years, turnover at Missguided has soared to over £200 million and it announced a tie-up with retail group Azadea to launch in United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Jordan, Lebanon and Egypt.
