Noor Shaker is Founder & CEO of Glamorous AI solving small, sparse, fragmented and noisy data challenges in drug discovery. Glamorous was acquired by X-Chem in October 2021 to integrate data and AI in ways never possible before. Previously she was CEO at GTN, a startup that uniquely combines machine learning with quantum physics to discover new medicines. Through GTN's technology, chemicals can be effectively simulated, analysed and discovered computationally. In 2018, Noor secured £2.1 million in seed funding and the company is currently working with a number of global pharma, innovative biotechs and world-leading research institutions. Before co-founding GTN, Noor was an assistant professor at Aalborg University in Copenhagen.
She has more than 50 publications and 1500+ citations and has co-authored a book on generative methods. Noor has received great recognition for her work at GTN including the CogX Rising Star Award handed to her by the Prime Minister Theresa May. She is also listed as one of the top 30 women leaders in U.K. healthcare in 2018 and listed in Forbes as one of the top 100 leaders in healthcare. She is also one of MIT Innovators under 35.
