Permjot Valia is currently the Chairman and lead investor in Wooshii, the place to get your videos made. He started angel investing after having served as Sales and Marketing Director for Ernst & Young Entrepreneurial Services in London and has invested in over 25 start ups in three countries (Canada, UK and South Africa) to date. After leaving Ernst & Young, Permjot founded Help with Sales which helps companies with their commercialisation approach and strategy. Permjot co-founded a fund management business called Flight & Partners Ltd which now has around $20m under management. The fund, which started in early 2008, currently invests in distressed situations. He gained a degree in Economics from the University of Leeds in 1993 and an MBA from the Open University in 2000. He is also the co-founder of Mindful Scientific, a company based in Halifax solving the problem of diagnosing brain injury; a director in Bluelight Analytics which enables Dentists to feel confident that they are applying exactly the right amount of energy to cure resin and the Founder of Mentorcamp in Canada.
