Prem Barthasarathy is Managing Partner at Pontaq, the first UK-India Innovation Fund that invests in early-stage emerging technology companies in fintech, smart cities, healthtech and agritech sectors.

Prem has led the firm to foster partnerships with many private organizations and specifically 4 state governments in India, namely Haryana, Gujarat, West Bengal and Tamil Nadu to promote innovation exchange between UK and these state governments. He also established a partnership with the central govt of India and state government of Tamil Nadu to create a Fintech CoE, based out of Chennai, India, in order to incubate Fintech companies India and give them access to the UK and beyond.

Prem also successfully set up the first ever UK-India Tech Hub in the UK and Pontaq has been identified as one of the key six companies operating in the UK-India corridor by the British High Commission. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electronics and Communications from the University of Madras and started his career at TCS, followed by roles at Deloitte and Infosys Lodestone before joining Pontaq.
