Richard Ng
Richard Ng is Co-founder and CTO of Greenworkx, the climate edtech startup. Greenworkx is tackling the global green skills emergency - with over 30 million more people needed for green jobs by 2030 to reach net-zero. For example, to retrofit the UK’s 28 million energy-leaky homes needs an estimated 500,000 more people in green jobs by 2030, in technical and professional roles like solar panel installer, heat pump engineer and retrofit assessor. Greenworkx’s £600k pre-seed round was announced in TechCrunch in April 2023 - with backing from Mangrove Capital Partners, Ada Ventures and angel investors.
Before starting Greenworkx, Richard worked in tech education. He joined Multiverse (the UK’s first edtech unicorn) at Series A, as the second hire on their software engineering coach team. Over his career, he has recruited and trained over 150 software engineers who’ve gone on to work at companies like Google, Starling Bank and Beamery. Richard is an Included VC alumni, Ada Ventures Angel and has been an angel investor for 3 years, backing startups who have gone on to raise from investors like Y Combinator, LocalGlobe and Khosla Ventures.
