Rikesh Shah is Open Innovation and Open Data Expert at PA Consulting having previously been Head of Open innovation at Transport for London (TfL) where he set up the first ever open innovation function to help deliver London's goals.

As a former member of the Smart London Board, Head of Open Innovation at Transport for London, London Tech Week Ambassador, lecturer in open innovation, and a thought leader on corporate innovation, Rikesh Shah is a pioneer in the field of corporate venturing and investment into innovation with a focus on social for good working with corporates, start-ups, academia, accelerators, VCs and others. During his tenure at TFL, Rikesh has overseen over 40 initiatives: through TfL's world leading innovation hub, Rikesh has overseen the investment that has positively impacted air quality by co-innovating with Bosch, or helping to make roads safer by working in a world-first partnership with Daimler. His team was also involved in a series of interventions during the peak of the pandemic to keep London's customers and staff safe. Rikesh has provided leadership to how TfL has created a world leading eco-system and uses TfL's resources to invest in some fantastic innovation partnerships through bringing emerging technologies into enabling better, cheaper and quicker outcomes.
