Roy Hotrabhvanon is CEO of Player Data, a multi award winning company developing a revolutionary sports wearable. The wearable unlocks technology only found in high end sports science institutes and makes it affordable for the average consumer. Roy gained a Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics and Computer Science from The University of Edinburgh and he and his co-founder, Hayden Ball were listed in the Forbes 30 under 30 Technology 2023 list, which states that ‘PlayerData uses sensor data and software to help athletes train better. Its first product, EDGE, is a wearable technology that uses GPS tracking. Designed for outdoor team sports like rugby, it provides coaches with data of their players' performance within 3 minutes. More than 500 clubs and 18,000 athletes use the software. The startup has raised $6 million from investors such as Hiro Capital with projected 2023 revenue of $2.5 million. Founded in 2017, PlayerData was born when Hotrabhvanon used sensor data to train for archery and almost reached the 2016 Olympics before getting into a car accident that cut his dream short’.
