Dr Shailendra Vyakarnam is currently the Director of the Bettany Centre for Entrepreneurship at Cranfield. He is also presently Co-Founder and Director of AcceleratorIndia, which helps fast-track business expansion of technology companies in the Indian and European markets. Dr Vyakarnam is Trustee of The GEN Initiative. He is Senior Member of Darwin College and Resident Senior Member of Wolfson College. Dr Vyakarnam worked in industry for several years before completing his MBA and PhD at Cranfield.

From 2003 to 2015 he focused on the development of practitioner-led education for entrepreneurship at the University of Cambridge Judge Business School, Centre for Entrepreneurial Learning and has held Visiting Professorships at University of Reading and University of Aarhus, the Indian Institute of Science and the American University of Cairo.
