Sheena Amin
Sheena Amin began her career as a venture capitalist investing in high-growth technology businesses at Summit Partners, a leading international growth equity investment firm with £15 billion assets under management. She then went on to hold senior positions within the TMT sector, including heading up business development at Virgin Media where she launched Virgin TV’s partnership with Netflix – a global market first for a pay-TV operator to partner with an OTT provider. Sheena is currently Director of ITV AdVentures at ITV, having previously held a similar role at UKTV Ventures, where she led investments in startups including ed-tech business Hopster, pet-tech startup PitPat and online marketplace ClickMechanic. Sheena understands the challenges of launching and growing a business having founded and run a successful startup of her own, UniVentures, a graduate recruitment and marketing business. She is a passionate ambassador for entrepreneurship and innovation having sat on the Board of Young Enterprise, the UK’s foremost enterprise education charity for young people, as a Trustee from 2010 to 2017. In 2018, she founded TIE Young Entrepreneurs to foster the growth and development of young entrepreneurs and professionals across the UK. Sheena holds a first-class honours degree in Philosophy, Politics & Economics from Oxford University.
