Managing Partner - Connect Ventures

Sitar Teli is Managing Partner at Connect Ventures, a venture capital firm founded in 2012 to focus on seed and early stage investments of £150k – £1.5m in internet and mobile companies in Europe. Connect Ventures’ investments include Citymapper, Typeform, The Cloakroom, and Pact Coffee. Connect Ventures has a $34 million fund that has made 18 Investments in 15 Companies to date and exited from one acquisition. Sitar is a Board Director of invested companies such as Auxy – an app for music makers, The Cloakroom B.V. – a personal styling site for men, ReadWave – a publishing platform and Secret Sales – the UK’s leading members-only private shopping club, among others. She has been a venture capitalist for eight years, focusing on early-stage investments in both consumer and B2B companies. Previously, Sitar was with Doughty Hanson Technology Ventures for seven years and led that firm’s investment in SoundCloud, where she was a board member for several years. Prior to becoming a venture capitalist, she spent three years with technology M&A bank Broadview (now part of Jefferies). Sitar has a dual degree in Mechanical Engineering and Economics from Duke University.
