Sonal Rattan is the co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of eXate, a tech start-up who's software specialises in streamlining and automating the processes of storing, interpreting and extracting value from data assets, whilst enforcing the highest degrees of privacy. Over the past 3 years Sonal has lead a highly skilled team of developers and architects in helping build the eXate platform, successfully deploying the eXate solution to one of the worlds largest international investment banks.

Sonal has nearly 20 years of development experience across a wide range of industries including investment banking and the charity sector. Prior to starting eXate in 2015, Sonal held senior positions at global bank HSBC for over 5 years – Head of EMEA RegTech and later the Head of Digital Assets. In addition to her work developing the eXate platform and deploying solutions to businesses worldwide, Sonal has built her reputation as a female tech leader by being involved in a number of industry-recognised talks and conferences. An inspirational Female Tech Leader, Sonal is published as part of the RegTech Book and is regularly named on the Women in FinTech Powerlist, and has a patent granted and another in pending state.
