Sumanta Talukdar is the Founder & CEO of Gardin - an early stage deeptech startup developing high throughput remote phenotyping solutions for the agritech and food industry. Gardin's mission is simple - to enable the food industry to measure the quality of food in operations so producers can grow better quality produce whilst reducing waste and operating costs. Prior to this Sumanta was the Co-Founder and CEO of WaveOptics - a deeptech startup that developed next generation see-through Augmented Reality (AR) display technologies. WaveOptics was acquired in 2021 by Snap Inc for over half a billion dollars. With a background in computer science, optics and photonics since University where he received a PhD in Physics, Sumanta has worked across displays, medical systems, sensors and HUD – head-up displays – for the likes of Oxsensis, BAE Systems, Sharp and Honeywell Analytics. His mission is simple: building great teams and working together to solve hard problems.
