Suryansh Chandra
Co-Founder - Automata
Suryansh Chandra co-founded Automata in 2015 after becoming frustrated at the expense and complexity of industrial robots while working at the research division at Zaha Hadid Architects. Automata’s mission is to make robotic automation simple and affordable. Automata's first product is a plastic six-axis robotic arm called Eva, which weighs 2.3 kilograms and costs £5,000. Eva will also open up robotics for designers and small start-ups like themselves. Suryansh holds a Master’s in Architecture and urbanism from the AA School of Architecture. He started his career as an Architect at the firm founded by the Pritzker prize-winning architect, the late Zaha Hadid.
