Umesh Pandya coaches social entrepreneurs and works with companies to build social ventures that do well and do good. Umesh is a Venture Partner at Bethnal Green Ventures (BGV), investors in ambitious founders using technology to tackle big social and environmental problems that aim to radically improve millions of lives. He coaches teams in the BGV investment portfolio in design strategy and digital product delivery. Umesh is also the Design & Product Director at HealthLumen. They build data-driven services to assist decision-makers in improving health outcomes for people living with non-communicable diseases worldwide. Since 2017 Umesh, has been working with social entrepreneurs and impact investors to develop the free to use Social Venture Canvas - made for social entrepreneurs who want to discover, develop and deliver purpose-driven products, services, and ventures. Previously, he co-founded Wayfindr, a multi-award-winning, social tech, not-for-profit organisation that empowers vision-impaired people to navigate the world independently. Umesh holds an MA in communication design from Central Saint Martins, is a fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, a Design Associate at the Design Council, and a trustee for the Creative Conscience charity.
