Vasanth Subramanian
Vasanth Subramanian is the Co-Founder & CTO of Acasa, a web, iOS and Android app helping the world's growing population of young renters live better together. Acasa is a home management platform designed to streamline the process of moving in, managing and moving on for residents, utility companies and landlords/managers. The platform allows users to set up, switch and purchase utilities, order on-demand services, pay rent and track household spending. Founded in the Open Data Institute in 2014, Acasa (originally Splittable) is backed by some of the leading technology investors in Europe including Seedcamp and Playfair Capital.
Holding a Master's degree in Physics from the University of Cambridge, Vasanth has previous experience in the software industry, working with web technologies, engaging with customers to improve UX and leading a team of engineers to deliver entire software solutions. He has previously worked as a Signal Processing Scientist at QinetiQ Malvern and as a Technical Consultant for Autonomy before founding Locatable in October 2012. Locatable was the precursor to Splittable which was founded in October 2014 and supported by eight Angel investors, later renamed to Acasa. Vasanth also volunteers as a course tutor to Code First Girls, a not for profit social enterprise that trains women in IT skills and helps companies to develop more female‑friendly recruitment policies.
