Veejay Lingiah is an Edtech entrepreneur, CEO of Learning Labs Limited, creators of FlashAcademy - a multi-award winning mobile education app supporting schools, colleges and workplaces to accelerate English language acquisition. The Innovation Birmingham Campus based Edtech firm has secured over £2m in investment to scale product development and establish itself in new markets.  The company was awarded a Government pandemic response innovation grant and has used this to build the UK's first digital EAL proficiency assessment, to be provided to UK schools free of charge to support disadvantaged students. Learning Labs was named Education Resource Provider of the Year (Education Awards 2019) and won the Maserati 100 innovation awards (2019), EdTech 50 awards (2019).

Veejay holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Studies from the Nottingham University Business School and started his career at Boots UK in Buying & Marketing. An entrepreneur and investor, Veejay founded The ArtLounge, Three White Walls, a public art gallery and ArtBrand Holdings, a global art publishing company before co-founding Learning Labs with Richard Allen in 2013.
