Xingjie Shen
Xingjie Shen is the Founder & CEO of Transreport, a technology company making transport more inclusive and accessible for disabled people. He puts equality, equity, and inclusivity at the core of Transreport’s technologies. ‘Passenger Assistance’ is its flagship technology that enables people to book assistance for their journeys without which disabled people would be unable to use public transport. Currently, the technology is being used by every train operator in Great Britain, with 85 million passenger journeys made annually by those with a disability. Transreport works with UK and International transport firms and Governments to deploy its technologies to remove barriers in society. Transreport has raised funding from UK and internationally based VCs. Xingjie came to the UK to pursue higher education, initially completing undergraduate (Mathematics) and postgraduate (Engineering) degrees from the University of Warwick. He then commenced his PhD studies in IoT and Sensor technologies, during which he recognised the applications for his research, leading to starting Transreport.
