Dr Zehan Wang was the Co-Founder & CTO of Magic Pony Technology,  a research-led software company providing advanced video upscaling, compression and enhancement technologies built on novel machine learning & computer vision research with 5+ patents pending. In December 2014, Magic Pony closed a $2 million seed funding round from an undisclosed investor. It was sold to Twitter in June 2016 and Zehan is currently leading a team of researchers and engineers working on low-level vision and machine learning as part of the Twitter Cortex team in London. Magic Pony Technology is now part of Twitter Cortex, as Cortex Vx - where Vx has the double meaning of being Visual Experience and also the V1, V2, etc regions of the brain responsible for visual processing.

Zehan did both his undergraduate and PhD at Imperial College London. He completed a MEng Joint Mathematics and Computing degree in 2010 and a PhD in the field of medical image computing in September 2014.
