Having secured $22.5m of Series B funding in Summer 2016 and a total of $39m of invested capital from investors such as DIG Investment, Barry Sternlicht - founder of Starwood Hotels - and Spark Capital, Velocity is one of the fastest growing technology companies in the world, featured in Forbes, GQ, Wired, CNBC, and winning Apple's Best of 2015 award. The London-headquartered startup has signed up over 1000 restaurants in New York, London, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Miami, Toronto and more, including Hix, Burger & Lobster, Sketch, and the Cuckoo Club in the UK. Zia, a London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) graduate with a BSc in International Relations, previously worked for Merrill Lynch and Goldman Sachs before setting up Velocity.
